Grace to you and peace from our God, the architect and from Lord Jesus Christ, the author of our faith. I wish to express my gratitude to our beloved Bishop Thandrigaru Rt. Rev. T.S. Kanaka Prasad for giving me an overwhelming task of shepherding the St. John’s Church in 2010. It is heart-warming to note that you welcomed me into St. John’s family in such a nice fashion. I wish to pledge that I would serve the Lord and the people of God in the best possible manner, with vigour, burning enthusiasm and faithfulness, for the glory of God.
I am delighted to acknowledge that our church is growing in leaps and bounds, catering spiritual needs to the Christian folk, especially by bringing the richness of God’s Word. In the 21st Century, the church has a great responsibility to reach out to the people, globally. Jesus commanded us to into the whole world – to preach the Gospel. To accomplish this task, the church has to use the virtual media, especially the information technology. Internet offers wider space to reach out globally and impact many lives. There is a great need for us to edify and enrich the lives of all the people through God’s Word, and it can be made possible through our website. We will be publishing teachings, devotionals, Parish Messenger, pictures, videos, reports of the ministry programs in our church and Diocese so that people in different parts of the globe would be able to access it and use it to enlighten their lives.
The congregation members are encouraged to sign up for the newsletter and also share their testimonies and comments. It is very easy and also user-friendly so please make use of this opportunity. Please ensure that you share your salvation story on our website as it will bless and inspire faith in the hearts of many. God has blessed us so that we be a blessing to others. By sharing your faith and the gospel you will be an instrument in fulfilling God’s dream – to reach out to the whole world.
Our website has been currently updated to a higher and better version and we are very delighted to re-launch it on Sunday 2nd October 2011. Our beloved Thandrigaru and Presbyter-in-Charge, Rt. Rev. T.S. Kanaka Prasad has graciously permitted us to upgrade it and also accepted to re-launch it. So the Pastorate Committee members of St. John’s Church and myself thank our Thandrigaru for giving us the support and encouragement to accomplish this great endeavour. Our thanks are due to Mr. D. Sudesh Kumar, Managing Director of Sholay Online Solutions Pvt. Ltd, who willingly took the responsibility of redesigning the website and upgrading it. His mission is to see that all the churches, not just the urban churches but including the rural churches in our Diocese should have a website of their own. To fulfil this mission he has initiated to upgrade and update our website.
I hope and pray that God would continue to bless all our endeavours in propagating the good news of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, using the modern technology from this time forth and forever more. Amen.
